In this episode, the host challenges the religious framing of forgiveness as a duty owed so that one can, in turn, be forgiven. She points out that this transactional model keeps people stuck. Instead, she reframes forgiveness through a different lens she calls "for-letting" and "for let." She argues forgiveness has nothing to do with the person who caused the harm — it's about releasing the grip that pain and resentment have on one's own mind, body, and soul.
She also revisits Jesus's teachings with a different take — the command to forgive "seventy times seven" in the Bible and that "I, the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men”from Mormon theology — offering an alternative read: not a rule about moral obligation or earning divine favor, but something more psychological and emotionally liberating.

Leaving Mormonism often means leaving behind an entire picture of who Jesus is.
In this episode, we dig into that disorientation: the questions, grief, and quiet fear that can come with realizing the Jesus you were taught may not be the Jesus of scripture or history.
We talk honestly about what gets shaken, what's worth rebuilding, and how to find your footing again — spiritually and emotionally — after your whole framework shifts.
